Wiley not being on the start list confirms absolutely nothing about her going or not going pro. Wiley simply didn't have enough Diamond League points to get in.

Not sure why people are tying to read things into it that aren't there.

Mu can win top 800 event without rounds now. Quite possible.

Most interesting:

1. Kipyegon will have to hold off Welteji (and Meshesha + Haylom) in tactical race though that's not a problem for her.

2. Tsegay will have to hold off Chebet in probably more tactical than super fast race. After her a bit controversial 10,000 win in Budapest Tsegay completely let the fight go in the 5000 with Chebet in good 3rd then but that final doesn't count as a prediction.

A DNS for Athing Mu is more likely than a win.

Look out for Ethiopian team race tactics given how many are running the 3k.

Their federation is not happy about Worlds and probably has been criticized.

Honestly, I would rather see Wiley run than Hurta-Klecker, who has performed poorly most of the year.

In a quick glance the ones that surprised me was Gabby Thomas absent from the 200 and Chepchirchir not listed at 1500.

Haylom is listed at both 1500 and 5000, along with one of the Hailus.

I'm not sure how Femke Bol's boyfriend Ben Broeders got in. He had the worst possible points distribution in Brussels with Lightfoot finishing high enough to tie Broeders and two others for the 6th and final spot with 10 points. Lightfoot won the tiebreaker. He's listed 6th in the final standings. But instead of only taking 6 they are using 7 and Broeders got the nod over the other two guys with finished with 10 points. Maybe she had enough pull or popularity to sway things in his favor.

From her social media it seems she is all in again, also she does not appear to be on vacation. Good for her!!

Why not Rogers or Akins? They were 4th and 6th at Worlds.

Hurta klekcer earned it. She placed 3rd,7th,4th,8th,and 10th in her DL races. But her last 4 800m races have been below average.

Addy Wiley is none of those things. Those 2 women are not comparable.

Especially Rogers who is sponsored by Nike, an Oregon alum, and is on the tower.

My guess is that Rogers turned down a spot, maybe because of injury.
