The Cuthbertson (NC) girls are flying out as well which will be interesting. They had a tougher time winning than most would have expected at Friday Night Lights last weekend, which is the first big race for most schools in NC. Woodbridge should be a good test of where they are truly at against top teams. They had a runner step up to a new level in Josie Schihl so they might have another big 4 this year to carry them into NXN if Schihl can hold this performance level to offset losing the older Preisano sister.

Cuthbertson only beat Mount Tabor by 15 points. Looks like they need a 5th in order to be really good on a national level

The Woodlands TX should probably be in the sweepstakes race too. They are a top 5 team in TX even though they graduated almost everyone from varsity. They always reload

Bethany was sick leading up to liberty bell but decided to get out there and do what she could, it happens to every great athlete and you can’t always control when it happens . It was one race early in September. People really should have all their info before passing judgements.

from looking at milesplit it doesnt look like their #1 from last year has raced yet, Tiffany Sax, and their #2 from last year Sophia Grant ran the opener but didn't run the last meet against Oaks Christian.

gotcha. I thought that might be the case but then i saw another Sax for NP ran at cool breeze who i assume is related to her so i just figured she hadn't ran yet.

does anyone know if woodbridge will be streamed live for free anywhere? For example, Like HDrunners often live streams the big cali races. dyestat makes me pay to watch it live...

On the Woodbridge Invitational homepage:
--RunnerSpace will live-stream (entirely) each race.
On the runnerspace website it says:
The 2023 Woodbridge Cross Country Classic presented by ASICS will be broadcast live from Irvine, California on Friday and Saturday, September 15-16. The broadcast and on demand videos will require a RunnerSpace +PLUS account.To each his own, but I have a bad history with paying for live running events, so I won't be watching it. I will just follow it on the athleticlive website which has 1 and 2 mile splits, which is all that I really need.
Someone else might try to do it for free, maybe as simple as streaming a hand held device, but I doubt you will get good coverage.

Please read more carefully. You have two (well, now three) people saying that Michalak deserves her high rating, regardless of the last race, and acknowledging that she is fast as hell. No one is denying that talent!
