Agreed, SR should've been featured but she perhaps declined. DAS boring asf.

I'd argue they care way more about the front runners than the 80 year old running their 40th consecutive Boston or the random group of fans cheering with dumb signs.
Agreed, and that’s the problem with what they’re doing now. The 80 year old running and the fans with signs are typical “news at 11” simple bits that can create a meaningless passing interest in the general population, who didn’t tune in for that and will have forgotten by tomorrow. but a box was ticked for NBC, and content was put out.
To overdo the marathon example some more, Netflix doc should help an existing “sports” fan follow the prep and improvement of mid-pack Olympic trials challenger (hopefully with more personality than a cardboard box) and the coverage of that event should allow you to see whether they’ll lead that third pack and beat expectations to finish 15th. I’m not saying that’s important, I’m saying that, as an example, you can currently do that in formula 1, the documentary supports it, and the live coverage supports it. They made an absolute killing off of it in the last 5 years. and it gives another avenue for a fan to be a fan (engage, spend money, propagate marketing) beyond the front runners.
You know she doesn't have any major international wins?
Drive to Survive has had plenty of made up drama. I'm sure they could easily contrive something here too, like a Joe Klecker-Woody Kincaid beef or some such.
Has anyone heard anymore of this series since 6 months ago? I understand WC’s just wrapped up but seems like talk of this program vaulted right when it started.

Details are starting to come out about the new Netflix docuseries on sprinters that is going to be track and field's version of Drive to Survive.
What struck me is there is no mention that Sha'Carri Richardson is in it.
How can that be? Do some of these other shoes like - Drive to Survive, Full Swing and Break Point - not have such a star in their shows? I've never watched one. What happens if she wins Worlds?
I want me some Sha'Carri.
Max Verstappen the now 3 time world champion, notably refused to participate in seasons 2, 3 and 4 of Drive to Survive and it did just fine. Unclutch the pearls, it will be OK. Anything Sha'Carri posts on IG will get 10X the views that any show about sprinting will on Netflix anyway.
