No doubt he's fit. He tried to run an insane last 1200 at the trials but came up short. That level of confidence from Grant means he was in monster shape before the injury.

It's absolutely insane that Fisher ran the trials with a stress fracture and tried to make the move he did in hindsight. That's the story of legends, too bad he didn't pull off the win. Definitely some Prefontaine level 4th placing. I'm a massive fan of Grant now. He's an impressive guy and doesn't make too many excuses. He should be a letsrun hero.

I’m for it, him trying his best to race later in the season. A lot of people complain about bowerman not racing enough, and here he is being as proactive as possible to race a 10k or diamond league…whereas Sydney and athiing are making a big deal about 1-2 laps…this qualifies for less G fish slander when he is preparing to race next summer next spring.

Obviously he wouldn’t be completing sessions on the track if he was in pain. He caught this thing early enough.

Foe anyone in that situation, to what extent or degree is something that can’t be fully quantifiable.

Therefore, each individual, timing of such and the degree to which becomes individualized based on science and feel.

The way Fisher ran USA’s in hindsight probably was his best option given he knew something wasn’t right leading up to the meet.

He almost pulled it off but didn’t have the ability to kick due to his stress reaction.
