Entering three distances doesn't mean she's going to run all of them.
Come on, it's not the first time she does this, and then scraps from one or two of them on whatever: the schedule, how she feels or specially who will be run those distances and the chances she believes she has to medal.
I think it's better to stick to one distance and win gold than winning three medals os different color but no gold.
This is what she's going to do:
- Run the 1500m easy, as a warm up for the 10,000m.
- Running the 10,000m and trying to win gold, and if she does it, ends her participation in Budapest.
- If she doesn't win the 10,000m, runs the 1500m semi the next day and sees how Kipyegon is doing or something happens to her, etc. If feels Kipyegon is too strong, skips the final.
- And then tries again with the 5,000m heat three days later, with the same approach as the 5,000m
We've also seen before that she doesn't like to be on the podium if she doesn't win. She was standing with a bored face listening to other nation's anthem a couple of years ago in a championships I don't remember right now, but was quite embarrasing actually, she seemed like a little girl who is mad because of losing in a kid's game.
