I always thought the theories that athletes can somehow fake injuries/make up stories to skip races as a way to cover up for suspensions was too tinfoil hat for me. But now I'm seriously considering it.
How many athletes will fake injuries or make up other stories to cover up for suspensions? Does the AIU/WADA/USADA actually cover up suspensions from the public? This is insane.

Remember when Shelby's lawyer said nandrolone (norandrosterone being the nandrolone metabolite they both tested positive for) wouldn't even help a distance runner?

As for the person saying this is akin to someone in Kipchoge's camp being popped, well that alreeady happened:

The interesting thing is Bowerman TC circled the wagons around Shelby with the misleading press conference, public defenses etc. I'm going to doubt Ruiter, let alone Cheptegei, will say anything in defense here. If the thought is that it's a team-wide thing and not an athlete going rogue, the BTC actions are more suspicious/naive (if you believe Shelby doped).
Rojo I would guess about half of the people who visit your site didn’t know that much about Shelby Houlihan. You assume that they knew a lot about her because presumably you and your friends did. one great example to consider is the miraculous win by the italian in tokyo. how often has he been injured since then? remember that he even shut his season down after tokyo.
