Relax, pal. I hadn’t reloaded the page in a few minutes so your reply wasn’t even there.
I don’t know why you’re coming in here with such an attitude when your post isn’t offering any new information. OAC’s star athlete isn’t part of the inner circle but Falland (who isn’t even on the team anymore) is? And you think all this micro-dosing crap is different than what other pro groups are doing?
Unless exceptionally talented? Then what was the excuse for bringing in Andrews and Hurta? Lots more talent out there than that
Hurta runs 1:57-high last year and 1:58.0 — talent is not the problem there. She is also of course married to a team member and local.
I'd agree on Andrews being a weird pick (overlap with Monson, and had plateaued/gone downhill), but the top US prospects who you'd stay patient on and go for are Valby (always injured —> staying in school and likely going to Nike) and Tuohy (staying in school —> likely going to adidas). Do think Maia Ramsden is someone they should have major interest in as having an easy road to global champs, young (21) though maybe OAC Oceania has dibs.
Olivia Markezich, a probable US Olympian next year and highly durable & consistent with likely 3000m--marathon range, is a stronger US prospect than Valby. Oregon/Poland's Klaudia Kazimierska has similar upside to and maybe a higher ceiling than Ramsden. Whether either would prefer Boulder to OAC Europe/Oceania, who knows?

Markezich sure for the steeple, but I was talking about US prospects who they could've gone for instead of Andrews to be clear. So that'd be at 1500/5000. I'm sure OAC is looking for a steepler on the women's side.
Not sure on Kazimierska, but just have to note Ramsden beat her twice in the NCAA, is younger, and is improving much more (Kazimierska ran 4:07 in 2020). So to me, Ramsden makes more sense as a target.
all pro teams sponsored by a shoe company work in the gray area, but don't leave. That means TUEs and unbanned but still questionable supplements but no microdosing (at least on an organized team level)

Some insider lol
Nuguse has not been linked. As he may not need to take the risk due to his talent level. He broke a very old NCAA record in the 3k and the 1500 CR previously set by an Olympic bronze. What was Kleckers college PB, 13:30..? Couldn’t ever win NCAAs yet can win USAs and make the team repeatedly? Give me a break.
No, not every group is doping or even grey area. Most in the USA are not. There has not been any evidence or even rumors from any other elite groups in Boulder such as Boss that they’re cheating. Saying “weLl everyOnE is dOing it” when there’s actually evidence about a group and none for other groups is indicative of a low IQ and lack of critical thinking OR deceitful deflection.
Waiting for generational talents with high probability of making national teams: Tuohy, Markezich and/or McCabe in 2024.
More like everyone has contracts that go through the 2024 olympics, and that's when the biggest turnover takes place. The team is fairly full right now.

Good point re Ramsden; Kazimierska's 4:07 in 2020 slipped past me.
I still think Andrews can earn a national team berth and that the Josette/Robbie package deal made sense on various levels, even if a bit weird, as you say. At the moment, given the US athletes who were and likely will be available next year, it's not clear to me who OAC should have approached instead. I'm curious as to what sort of effort--if any--OAC made to sign Plourde.
It'll be interesting to track the respective results of Valby and Markezich through Fall 23--Spring 24. There wasn't significant separation btwn the two over the past eight months: 8:50/8:49; 15:33/15:30; both top 10 at XC Nats; each was NCAA Outdoor Champ in her primary event.

Ramsden has 2 more years as an A+ student at Harvard , sure she will Jack that in to go suck inhalers in Colarado

Yeah I don’t get the oac specific hate here. show me a high level women’s distance runner and I’ll show you a poor suffering asthmatic with thyroid issues. gosh darn coincidence.
the real science of sport podcast guys have it better phrased but in a cycling context.
It’s just the Nike fanboys getting their shots back in for all the years of getting embarrassed (justifiably) for Rupp or NOP or (insert sketch bag with A+ PR here) similarly dirty tactics.
Sage Hurta is married to Joe. The only reason why she is on OAC is because she is riding the coattails of her husband. She’s good but not great. Will never make a WC or Olympic team.
Markezich signed an NIL deal with them. That's the second they've done along with Whittaker (who would run the 800 which conflicts with Hurta at this time).
Exactly right. OACs reputation is going downhill. Sus and arrogant. The top recruits don’t want to be associated with a controversial team.
Man people are jealous haters. What rumors?! The fact they are killing it on the track?
No one is jealous. That's ridiculous,. You obviously are a fan and fell the need to suck up to and defend them like a good LetsRun doobie. There are plenty of rumors and you know it. They're not all killing it on the track. They are definitely starting to get fewer fans and other pros are speaking up, believe me
What rumors? Other than wearing literally the world's worst underdeveloped overpriced pieces of literal fecal material shoes on their feet, the team is legit and trains hard. Can't fault them for being talented and paid, even if the gear sucks actual ball sack
