Or, he could write a book criticizing other elite athletes & coaches in order to keep his name & face out there instead of fading into dusty history where she (oops, I mean he) belongs. Oh, wait… I’m thinking of someone else.
He already wrote a book for $ so does it only bother you when a woman does it?
You must admit it would be kind of funny if he wrote the same exact book Kara did but just switched names so he was complaining about how Kara and Adam got all the attention and were on the secret insider doping program and he and Galen felt like outsiders.
I wouldn't be surprised if he trained almost every day even after retirement. He still wants to stay fit I guess. Usually you're not going from 120 mpw to nothing.
Even if he's retired he's known in the public image as a skinny runner. If "Mo Farah the 300 lbs fatass" emerged he'd be less popular.

You runners are morons. He may exercise to stay fit, but he won't be training at all.

if i was a top level distance runner and i retired, i'd just go into general overall fitness. hit the weights but don't push beyond the beginner gains stage. as for the treadmill, 30 minutes a day is fine. maybe 60 minutes on saturdays.
If you were past your real "prime" like Farah, but could still milk a few $100K a year by just showing up and doing press and running respectable times wouldn't you? People like Farah have so much built in training (lets not bring up PEDs) that they don't need to do too much but put in a hour or so a day and still stay "fit".
Not saying Emma Coburn is the same, but she's not ever going to compete for a global medal again. However, she can still make bank and do what she loves. Can't hate on that and if no one, besides Krissy Gear, is going to knock you off the podium then keep going. She just limits her racing, stays close to home training and then hopefully makes the WC finals or qualify for Olympic team.
Doubt Mo or Emma needs the $$ for $$ sake, but why replace that lifestyle when you don't have to? I say if you enjoy the training, the community and the rush of racing then keep going. They have 40-50+ years to do something else with their lives. Take the fitness and the fun as far as you can.
