I agree with NERunner03533. Why is this thread still up? If Katie Ledecky were ever to announce that she has decided she is a trans gender man, that's fine and I am sure that would generate a post on LRC. As long as she didn't take male hormones, she would probably still be allowed to compete as a female. But, this post by Rojo which continues to be up is way over the line. Why does a co-founder of this site need to post something like this? As of now, this is just alerting LRC message board readers that there are people querying search engines as to whether Ledecky is a trans man. Why are you posting this on LRC? She participated in 3 Olympic Games and multiple World Championships as a female, starting at age 15.

Many people with XY chromosomes are assigned female at birth. Parents often don't discover their daughter's DSD until she hits puberty.
So the fact that someone was assigned female at birth and was raised as a girl says nothing about her genetics. I don't think Ledecky has any DSD. But her baby photo proves nothing.

i had to argue with a guy on instagram about this and he used the first link on google as his source.
having misinformation that readily available is a little concerning, especially since he didn’t change his mind after i told him trans women weren’t allowed to compete in world aquatics events
