It's not clear to me that, for her, losing bodyfat would be necessary/beneficial. Maybe; but some sprinters lose power when they get too lean. Renate Stecher did okay without being shredded.
Her body will change, it is inevitable. It doesn't only happen to precocious distance runners. She is the real deal but she lacks fluidity. Very strained form and poor block clearance. It will be interesting to see her progression. Keep doing what you're doing and let maturing take its course? Change things hoping to consistently get under :11? Does the NIL help or hinder the progression? Good luck to her and her coach.

She’s still only 17 years old. As bloviating said, her body will change. Her technique will also get better. There’s no reason for her to hurry things along and try to get leaner. I expect big things from her over the next 4-8 years.

I’ve been around long enough to know you don’t expect big things from sprinters with no melanin.
Link takes me to a Shopify page. Anywhere else to see?
Thing that strikes me about mbp, other than her skin color ofc, is that she’s not super lean like professionals. Nor should she be at this age, but that’s a couple tenths right there so I’d say this girls upside is legit Olympic/WC medal potential.
I love that MBP isn't a skinny waif and appears to eat healthy and is strong. She's going to go very far.
Of course, both FJ and MK were "better bodies through chemistry"--I suspect that MBP is comparatively clean, which I find even more impressive.
MB-P is about 6 years ahead of a normal hs athlete in training, weights. Another 5 and she will possibly be considering "take it or you wont make it". I hope not but I was a Houlihan fan along with many others. My jaded perspective is guilty until proven innocent.

Big things like being World champions or Olympic medalists and having run some of the fastest times in history over 200m?
Why are we commenting on a high school girl’s muscles? Y’all are weird
She's an elite athlete, this is a forum where people discuss the performances of elite athletes, it's no more weird than commenting on the body/musculature of any other elite athlete.
It would be pretty dull if all we were allowed to say about her was "whoa, she's fast!"

Would you rather we commented on her hair and lip gloss?
I think it’s weird because she is a child. Just a highschool athlete. She has grown men starting threads about her on the internet and talking about her muscles and her body. Is that not strange?
