...been run...
Part of the challenge of doping is when to go for the records.
I think she's gone too early and might not be able to keep this charade going all the way up to the Olympics. The testing will become unbearable.
The smart dopers pop up during the Olympic year, not before.
Correct. She'll be allowed to skate by for years to come. She's too ingrained into the sport to test positive. WADA instead "makes an example" out of the peripheral weirdos like Ramzi.
Utterly absurd performances though. Painful to watch, really.
You are completely out of order.
Faith Kipyegon has been winning races for the last almost 10 years from junior World cross country,Senior workd cross contry, track races, all the way to now across the board on different surfaces. Her history is well known. Her talent and natural abilities are well known. Her performance has been consistent from her first international appearance to now.She won her first junior cross country race barefooted beating an awesome field assembled.
If you have to make wild allegations choose a different athlete.
If she was doping since juniors, how would you know what her natural talents were?
There are definitely questions about Hassan due to her association with Salazar, but I still think she is the greatest overall distance runner ever, whether doped or not. Look at the range:
800m - 1:56.81
1500m - 3:51.95 (WC gold, WC bronze, Olympic bronze)
Mile - 4:12.33 (former world record, current #2)
5000 - 14:22.12 (Olympic gold, WC bronze)
10000 - 29:06.82 (former world record, current #2, WC gold, Olympic gold)
Half marathon - 1:05:15
Marathon - 2:18:33 (victory at London)
She is the perfect litmus test for ignorant simpletons who throw the blanket
Note that her 1500m best is better than her mile best.
The 1500m is 93.22% of 1609m
The 3:49.11 is 92.50% of 4:07.64
800 Metres — 1:57.68 — 1204 pts
1000 Metres — 2:29.15 — 1249 pts
1500 Metres — 3:49.11 — 1295 pts
One Mile 1609m — 4:07.64 — 1286 pts
3000 Metres — 8:23.55 — 1231 pts
5000 Metres — 14:05.20 — 1272 pts
Part of the shock of today was that the old record was soft in comparison to the 1500m record and that she won by nearly seven seconds.
This record by Hassan is in theory faster: 10,000 Metres — 29:06.82 — 1297 pts
This record by Kosgei is even faster: Marathon 42.195K — 2:14:04 —1295 pts
This record by Kipchoge is even faster: Marathon 42.195K — 2:01:09 — 1312 pts
And people were up in arms over this record
Paula Radcliffe Marathon 42.195 — 2:15:25 — 1281 pts
Not much has been said about Ingebrigtsen's two-mile: 7:54.10 — 1304 pts
Kosgei's and Hassan's in the wrong order. My bad.
They ALLOW most E Africans and others to dope (as long as they’re members of approved groups). It’s social conditioning so to speak.
Interesting to add Paula into that mix from 18 - 20 years ago. The sport has gotten a lot faster for numerous reasons, especially on the road. Compare her times/points with others from 2005 and earlier.
partner, you’re betting on the wrong horse here.
Hassan gets nailed before Kipyegon, all day long. Actually, Hassan’s current coach probably goes the way of Salazar before either of them gets done, but that’s just an easy money side bet. that dude is running the sketchiest nonsense with Hassan, and she is all for it apparently.
As many others have stated, takes someone that wants to bring them down, to actually bring them down.
Didn't hear a peep about Dennis Kimetto's world record of 2:02:57, which came later, but same points value, both pre-supershoe era and pre-Kenyan out-of-competition testing within Kenya, 1280 to 1281 points.
She did have a great windbreak from a few men. Kimetto did not have that.
Not making predictions on coach's who may get busted in the future: charged, appeal....nothing....ie Jama Aden....among others....

I think lots of guys with 4:05-4:15 mile PRs who frequent this site are having personal crises right now. Even more so than on a normal day.
Her 1500m time is also one of the doping fueled performances I have ever seen. Face it, but she is as dirty as any runner in history. Someone mentioned Wang Junxia and that was a good analogy. China's history at the junior worlds is fascinating. Whenever they decided to dope, such as 1992, they dominated the women's event. Then they drew back, then did it again a few years later. All it took was opening up the PED valve.

4:12 is nowhere near equivalent to the 3:50's that had already been ran for years.
As for doping, my forming hypothesis is that someone's coach/doctor figured out bicarbonate can be taken intravenously to bypass diarrhea. Limit w/o a TUE is 100mL in 12 hours.
I'll let someone calculate how much bicarbonate can be dissolved in 100mL of water. But this is already done medically for some types of acidemia. Could it really be this simple?
"Had been run" is what you meant to say.
Why? A doped up Qu Yunxia ran 3:50 in the 1500m at age 20 in 1993, no supershoes or wave lights or anything. A just as doped up Kazankina ran ran 3:52 in the 1500m in 1980. Kipyegon is another doping fraud. The only thing that is depressing is a few people on here cannot admit it. Oh well.
Hoka Festival of Miles is tonight- could the meet record go down?
