My money is on Aaron never making their top 7 lineup for a meaningful xc race
Why do people hate on him so much?
Probably, because like many high school boys, he has said and done a number of things that made him come across as an arrogant, self-centered jerk. Hopefully, he will mature out of that kind of behavior soon.
The Aaron in their top five in my post is Aaron Las Heras, the 13:27 Wake transfer. Aaron Sahlman I figure to be redshirting, given that it is July and he has a significant injury he should have been resting the past couple months. Note how close Colin was to redshirting and he was healthy.
It would be awesome to see Quax run to his potential at nationals and some of the other big meets this year. I could see him top 20 at nationals if it all comes together, based upon some of his past results.
I wonder if it was a blessing in disguise for the team as a whole that neither Nico or Drew won a title this past year, as they may have been more likely to go pro with remaining eligibility (as Luis and Abdi did)?
Would love to see those last New Mexico girls commit. Would make NAU a sure podium team! NAU women have not made the podium in a very long time!
I don't think they're ever podiumed. unless I heard it wrong last years 6th place finish was their highest ever. Remember before Mike Smith arrived in 2019 they really didn't have a women's team. just some occasional individual runners from time to time.
The 1991 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships were the 53rd annual NCAA Men's Division I Cross Country Championship and the 11th annual NCAA Women's Division I Cross Country Championship to determine the team and indiv...
NAU women were around 7th in 2007. Erin Dawson recruited a great group before heading to Arizona and building a powerful group there. She was John Hayes’ assistant at NAU and worked for a short while for Heins. After that the NAU women fell off until recently.
I also think he will redshirt '23 xc. _xzcvzxcvvvvv said same, but then put him in top 5. I'd take that top 5 and pop LasHeras in for Aaron. Puffer also do for a breakout.
I thought Aaron Las Heras was Aaron? Maybe Aaron Las Heras is actually John or Jimmy though.

Theo has been a huge disappointment bearing in mind he left NZ at the same level as Tanner
