Anti-Asian Hate is a problem in the US. The Yellow Peril Complex. The Slavs get picked on too for their high-cheekbones and Asian eyes. In America it affects Slavs, Hungarians, Ploles, Russians, Ukrainians, Scandinavians, Turks, Iranians, and Baltics most especially.
Yup. USATF really blew theiir chance to make T&F a huge deal in the US. WC 2022 was a total disaster. The biggest crash on US soil since the Hindenburg disaster of 1937.
In the US we say "Asians always have to be #1". The "Asians" Huns did it in Budapest! Kudos. No one in the US sine Atlanta 1996 has spent money like Hungary has on track and field!

Yes it was in the Eastern Bloc and yes it is a developing country (I spent a semester there in college). I took a weekend trip once to Vienna from Budapest and it reminded me “this is what the modern world looks like.”
But in the plus side, Hungarian women are FIT.
Hungary is a low class dump like Poland, Russia, and Turkie. The upper class steals US welfare to support oligarchs in Malibu and Pacific Palisades. Very cheap to live in Hungary though.

Or, they were written by people who have a deep interest in Hungarian history, literature and music, who lament the fact that the country is run by a gangster.

Look up "Eastern Bloc" on wikipedia and notice that Hungary appears 53 times.
Hungary had some capitalist markets, but it still had communism as the main driving force. One of the more interesting facts about Hungary in the 60s, 70s and 80s is it was a place that people from East and West Germany could reunite for a vacation. East Germans would travel there to buy western goods, but they were allowed to travel there, unlike most western places.
I've been there a few times, really enjoyed my time there, and will be glad when Orban is gone. (you can love a place and hate the people leading it at the same time)
The funny part is when people from families of the German Nazi collaborators try to claim Magyars make us white when in fact Magyars are 100% Huns from Asia.

They (the world athletics championships organisation team) are saying that 1 billion people will watch this.
Hungary had the common sense to reject Soros, but still foolish enough to host the WC of a dead sport.
I didn't watch the last WC, won't watch this one either. NBC will black it out for one thing, but generally it's meaningless, over the shark. Heats ad nauseam leading to a generally slow final. Diamond League is the correct model, run 'em fresh and produce replayable video of good single races.
We've gotta face the fact that running is mainly a participation sport. It's not so great that someone else runs fast, the main thing is to run fast yourself.
