I'm fine with Barnett being advanced, but definitely not a DQ for O'Sullivan. A bit of contact is normal in racing. People get tripped in a pack, it happens. Any stricture against O'Sullivan would be a travesty.

Contact in races happens. The leaders can get clipped and it's a part of racing. Too bad it happened to Barnett but it's something that happens in tight races. No DQ is warranted. She could be advanced to the finals but I can see officials may not see it that way. I would advance her.

She cut Tuohy off in the final straightaway. She did not have a stride length. She just flat cut her off.

You may be right but others didn't see things that way. The women's races are clippy and chippy. They run in clumps and get tangled up. Not sure what the solution is. Maybe run on the shoulder of the lead runner and not on the rail. No DQs though. It's racing.
