When I first read "Gabby Thomas runs massive 49.68..." I expected to see that it was a click-baity title for a TRP video. Solid and surprising, but hardly "massive." Let's save that language for women that dip below 49.

Unlike your name, you aren't a straight shooter. The title said "Gabby Thomas rusn massive 49.68 PB". You purposely left off the "PB" part. The title is true. It's a really big PB for her.
For some reason you decided to be a non-straight shooter and twist it to say that the title was saying that the 49.68 was massive and that's not what the title was saying at all.
Go back to being a straight shooter and stop twisting things around.
You said I "purposely" left off "PB." Of course you are in no position to judge my motives, as I am not in a position to judge yours (unless you tell me). I'll confess that I was concentrating on the time and actually didn't catch "PB" on my first reading, and I'll agree that this would add acceptable relativity to the term "massive."
Well, allowing two missed tests in twelve months is a lax rule in my estimation. I think it should be tightened to allow only one miss in twelve months.
Read the article, chucklehead.
It’s not long. You should be able to do it.
I read the article before I wrote the post to which you responded. Please - and without any needless and ineffective insults such as those you've already deployed as you are big on insults but bereft of persuasiveness - explain how that article should have persuaded me to think other than I indicated in my post. Did you not view the video interview of Victor Conte that robino posted? Do you think Conte was wildly wrong in anything he said?
I feel like this deserves more attention. Obviously her ceiling in the 400m should be high due to her 200m PB; nonetheless, it's great to have another sub-50 runner for the Team USA 4x4.
Honestly if she keeps progressing, if Sydney and Britton have a strong season, and if Athing/Steiner/Diggs can go 49.x, they have a legitimate shot at the WR.
That's a lot of if's, but I would love to see it. It kind of sucks that many don't have the flat 4 as their main event, because they could probably be sure to reach those heights if they did.
It may become really hard to select who will eventually be on the team, and who will be the final 4. Yeah there will be more info by then, but still...

“Phone tracking data and multiple witnesses will conclusively show that I was at the exact location I established in my whereabouts and that the doping control officer simply failed to locate me and failed to follow proper protocol,” Thomas said in the statement.
Thomas said she sees the 400m in her future, I think it's an event we'll see her run after Paris, probably starting in the 2025 season.
This is a massive PB but she already ran a 49.44 relay split in college Indoors, so she has likely been in sub-50 shape outdoors for years at this point.
Hopefully she doesn't have any injury issues this year. She was probably on track to run 21.5x last year...

I also dislike Jakob's tattoos, but he acts completely normal.
If Shacarri would act normal, people wouldn't criticize her. Are there any other black runners, or runners in general, who would act like she did on the plane? For example, can you see Mu or McLaughlin acting like that?
Women everywhere are so lucky to have you to let them know whether or not their behavior is normal! Have you considered extending your services to the world of finance or fraternities and sororities? I’m sure many would cherish your input!

Looks pretty clear.
That was for her test after two previous uncontested misses. Again, why are TWO missed tests allowed? I think that is one too many.
Normally, I'd give you a pass for this comment, but considering that you're referring to she who shall not be named except for results on the track, think about what you're saying. Acting like a fool all the time is not going to endear her to anyone.

Yeah
You run Athing 2nd with the cross over, can go 48.5 if she's had a couple of days off.
Sydney goes last say 47.9.
A sprinter first, out of blocks and runs 395m, Steiner or Thomas, 49.5
And 3rd runner any of the others say 49.0 with a running start.
That makes 3.14.9.
WR is 3.15.17, so those are the kind of splits they would need.

Wow...you are incredibly dense. Either that or your reading comprehension sucks. More than likely, you are dense and your reading comprehension sucks.

Absolutely. This is a huge result for Thomas. I was thinking that Steiner was the heir apparent to Allyson Felix in terms of ranginess but I’ll give Thomas the nod now. At 400 & 200, I’ll give Gabby the nod over Abby. At 100 they’re probably about even.
No chance of making the team in the 100m. It is way too stacked to break through.
He fails to point out that if a pattern is detected or suspected or even rumoured there is a very big chance the testers will keep returning even the same day.
