Watch the videos of her running, the girl just hammers. I love it. Great power/pop for 75 years old. I'm guessing she could live to 100+ with those genes.

And if she doesn't, that might suggest there's something else going on besides genes.

You boast about beating younger men at tennis. What are you on? EPO, roids and testosterone?
Recreational tennis isn't a test of stamina, as running a marathon is. At that level, technique can make up for differences in age. It isn't much different to beating someone in Scrabble. Skill doesn't necessarily disappear with age. But if you look at the masters running records you will see they reach a point where they couldn't beat a decent 12 year old.
Jennie Rice is indeed legit. She was voted into the USATF Masters HOF in 2018 and was voted USATF Master Athlete of the Year in 2019. Her run at Boston will now put her at the top of the for the Marathon.

I'm coming up 70 shortly. To run the 800 as fast as I could at 12 years of age I would have to beat the current world record for 70 year olds. Isn't going to happen.
The question for me is whether this runner could beat Joan Benoit Samuelson. She's about 10 years older than Joan but not far off Joan's best over-60's times. I would be surprised if Joan could run 3.30 at 75.

Awards don't necessarily mean an athlete is "legit".

Will you please go away?
You made your point. Now let us celebrate her achievements.
I would speculate good, natural, talent (why can't a woman be like Whitlock?) and maybe some smart use of amino acids.
Probably aged well and likely didn't 'waste' her youth trying to make the Olympic team. It's not fast fast time but it's a doable time for someone who probably kept the body/muscles in good shape with no injuries. And who the hell would dope at 75 to win some meaningless accolade? She was already killing the age grading long before this.
Your dismissive comment that it’s not fast fast and that it’s doable shows so much lack of insight. It’s doable for but a very few elite older athletes.
Even the majority of all female marathon runner’s could only dream about running that time.
