There's a 16 year old Dutch girl named Abigail Noruwa who deserves recruiting attention for that class. She is very scrappy like Amina Maatoug, albeit markedly different body types and events.
Noruwa was a sprint hurdler who started experimenting with longer distances and quickly won the Dutch U18 championships last summer. Not a great time but the close reveals how tenacious she is, splitting traffic to move from 3rd to 1st within the final meters:
Noruwa recently attended a 2-day camp at Papendal, training alongside the national team and going through the battery of tests. Meuwly and Peters must have steered her toward 400 hurdles because all of a sudden she's running that event for the first time. Her debut a couple of weeks ago was a respectable 1:01.36 and today in her second try she dropped 2 full seconds to 59.35. That is 4th in the world at U18 for 2023.
I'm mentioning her here because I'm not sure many American college programs are aware of her. That versatility and 400 hurdles trajectory could be very valuable. Noruwa is listed on Slamstox as aspiring to the Class of 2024 and a major track and field program. She does need to work on her grades a bit, given 2.8 GPA as of a year ago:
3 time PA State Champion Logan St. John Kletter of Mount Lebanon (2:13/4:47/10:12) has committed to run for the Tar Heels.
Is Marcus Reilly gonna run both XC and track for Michigan?
Or just track?
Buckley's Aiden Harrand (58.8/2:11/4:49/10:54) is headed to Wake Forest. The range queen just pulled off the 8/16/32 sweep at the recent Michigan State Championship meet.
Crazy how many c/o 2024 guys made their commitments before the last school year even ended
The University of Oregon just got double the good news as the Humphries twins of Flower Mound have both declared to run for the Ducks in 2024. Samantha (2:07/4:40/10:12/16:50, 6A 800 state champion) and Nicole (2:06/4:44/10:11, 6A XC state champion) should really add to the distance stable for the Ducks.
Gavin Genisio of Benton, Illinois is committed to the University of Tennessee. Genisio has PRs of 1:53/4:08/9:09/14:37 (XC 3 miles), had the #3 1600 time in the state last year, #6 time at cross country state out of all classes, and is the reigning cross country champion in Class 1A (small schools) and is the reigning 1600 champion in Class 2A (medium schools).

Landon Heemeyer of Rocky Mountain HS in Idaho has BYU commit up on his Strava.
You might be right, but to me his strava looks dormant and unused in a long time.
