Flat track so I'll predict 4:30 low which will convert to about a 4:27 mid to high on a banked. Would put her as the 16th best collegiate miler all-time with a conversion that places her about 6/7th.
This is going to be AWESOME! NCAA Indoor Mile record is in jeopardy!
I’ll project that Tuohy goes 4:10 for 1500 w/ a 16 second final close = 4:26.00 ALMOST getting the record, but good enough for #2 NCAA all-time indoor.
It's being paced so I think it depends on that. I hope it's fast so we see sub 4:30 win.

1 week before Millrose - I am not surprised at a (hopefully) fast mile for Tuohy ahead of the 3000 against the pros though I thought it might have been a little sooner. Interesting that Henes is skipping this meet as the defending 3000/mile double champion. But the doubling did tend to result in slower races won by big kicks. Maatog of Duke is entered and she could be every bit as fast as Bush or maybe faster given her 800/3000 prs. I'd bet sub 4:30 to win and many in low 4:30s. Hopefully the pacer goes thru 800 close 2:15 or faster.
Yeah the one week before Millrose seems tight. Wayment, Morgan and Monson are all in the mile at Dr Sanders but I think that is two weeks before. I agree that Maatoug could be a factor.
I think it will be sub 4:30 too, depending on the pacer. Most of the women in the field have mid / low 4:30's prs so maybe they are pacing for 4:30?
Wiley will bet Tuohy by 2 seconds. Wiley will break all-time NCAA 1500 and mile records during her career.
Could happen I suppose. Her times in June were very fast.
Having read through the Huntington thread I have to say it is ... astonishing ... and not in a good way what transpired and with the new developments. Not going into detail here but I recommend anyone in this thread read through it.
If Wiley is going to start competing more against D1 and Pros expect the spotlight to be on her and questions asked.
Southish East Coast heads like me will tell you that this is not just any flat 200m track; it’s JDL. Raced on it many times and I think performances there are closer to banked track times than what the conversions would have you believe, which is why so many teams come there to get what they see as a very generous conversion on such a fast 200m circuit. The turns are gentle, the surface provides great energy return and “pop”. Tuohy can roll there
