It appears as if you NEVER went to school anywhere, bright boy.
I apologize for my grammatical error. But who the fk cares about that. It's the LRC forum, not my thesis paper. And I live comfortably, thank you for your concern.

Sorry, but this is about you now, and you shouldn't start a sentence with "but" or "and". You're not Herman Melville. A writer at your level should stick to the style guide.

This is nothing derogatory toward Allison Felix at all. This is an ongoing swipe at USATF but more so, NBC.
Rather than develop a marketing model to attract additional viewers with the athletic prowess and determination of it's participants, like Ms. Felix, they have chosen this route. NBC execs publicly disclosed that they were trying to attract "housewives who don't normally watch sports on tv of any kind," to build their dismal viewership of the Olympics.
This is the Olympic games featuring the very best of the very best, not "The View."
So exposing the proclivity of USATF and NBC that we track fans are not worthy of watching intense athletic races, but need spoon fed gushing side stories like "Allison Felix is a mom" ad nauseum is neither overplayed or clownish.

I liked the closing of your original post better. For those who missed it, dumbassMF originally closed this post by expressing gratitude for not having to read Highly Disturbed’s thesis paper. That pre-edited closing made me LOL.

Thanks, but now my post of harmless fun was deleted. I might as well get up and do some work.
I am not saying Felix didn’t earn her 6 Olympic relay medals BUT she has 5 individual medals and so 11 medals as you say. Distance runners cannot easily become 11 time medalists due to the lack of relays. I think a relay medal is not as meritorious. I know many will disagree.
Very valid point. Why would anybody argue with that. If there was a 4x800 relay(really wish they would have it in championship meets) many of the long distance greats would have double the medals they have now too.
USC has nearly unlimited amount of money to spend. USC bribed their way host the 1932, 1984, and 2028 Summer Olympics. USC bought football head coach Lincoln Riley from a Truck Stop college somewhere hidden in the wilderness. USC influenced Fox Sports in Playa Vista to buy UCLA and the Big 10. Many think USC, UCLA, Cal, and Stanford may have the largest endowments in the world which they can't fully reveal because portions accumulated from US DoD, DoE, NSA, CIA, FBI projects are secret.

Trying to attract additional fans has nothing to do with whether existing track fans are worthy or not. The fact that so few of us exist means that if you want to be able to watch track on traditional media venues, you need people to tune in who would not normally do so.
That said, the rush to point out that she's a mom in every post on here is much more about a fear of women than it is a knock at NBC's marketing approach.

US distance runners cannot easily become 5 time medalists because they are simply not as competitive relative to the rest of the world as Alyson Felix was.

I bet USC also paid professors and janitors more to leave their old jobs and come work there! THE HORROR!!!!!
I see this sort of conspiracy theory BS often about USC. I am guessing they denied you admissions.
Back to Felix: I agree with others that it is odd that they named the facility after her since she did not run as a USC athlete and there is not evidence she gave millions (the usual way things are named on a college campus). It is their facility and she is deserving of the honor. She carried herself professionally and did a lot to expose the issues that female runners (including distance runners) faced in their contracts.
Please use more inclusive language. She is a birthing parent.
There will be a unisex family restroom w/ fold down changing station.
You must not be a dad. Banning "field" and calling moms "birthing parents" is nuts. Giving dads the ability to change their kids dirty diapers? Extremely useful and sensible and appreciated by dads everywhere.

Come on. Somebody has to run the relays. They earn that medal.
