- Red meat is weakly linked to cancer. Why? I assume that it is due to the cooking process.
- Carcinogenic heterocyclic amines are caused by high heat pan searing.
- Carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are caused by smoke from grilling and barbequing.
- It is recommended to cook meat slowly over low moist heat.

Yes processed meat is a class 1 carcinogen but red meat regardless of how you cook it is linked to colorectal cancer. Meat provides No fiber and stays in your gut too long. Eliminate it from your diet. Chicken is really not much better in this respect
