It appears the course was short, that should be known. His GPS read 3.07, and we all know that certified courses typically read long on the GPS, like 3.14.
I wouldn't read too much into a 5k road race anyway, doesn't really mean anything for the marathon. It was just a good hard effort to sharpen up a bit and ready to attack at Valencia. Hopefully he can finally run a sub 2:10:00.
