So long story short 5th is about as good as UCLA will finish at the Pac 12 Champs on the men's side

You guys are taking this at the conference level... As you pointed out, these teams have all won championships or are annual top 10 teams. So let's say UCLA ends up 15th at nationals in the next 3-5 years... is that an "L" for Brosnan?? Just asking for a friend who's never been to the NCAA XC championships.

They aren’t making it to nationals. Too many teams ahead of them in the region. They would have to beat teams in that list above.

In 2016, the West region sent 6 teams to the NCAA championships... explain to me how they can't make it to nationals because 4 teams are ahead of them?

The problem with this statement is… His high school kids went to other schools. This tells you a lot about the man if the kids he coached and set records wanted to be coached by someone else. If he can’t recruit his high school kids, why would anyone else go there? I actually know the answer. UCLA very rarely gives a distance runner a full ride. Even scoring at nationals they don’t give you one. They reserve the full rides for field events and sprinters who never score.

Name me one Power 5 school that gives make distance runners full athletic scholarships besides Iowa State, Alabama & Arkansas (Kenyans). Zero Pac12 programs, that’s for sure. Lmao distance runners on “full rides”
