I think it was a dumb move. They erased 70 years of controversy because a few people were upset. The non football fans were appeased.

Their opinions weren't consistent with the majority of Canadians.
Do you feel the majority of Canadians don't matter? The club did extensive consultation with the Inuit community. Their work proved the name was ok, a non issue.

the CFL has been around for a long time and many Canadians follow the league.

the CFL has been around for a long time and many Canadians follow the league.
CFL is pretty cool. I vacationed in Halifax and was surprised at how popular it was, lots of people at the bars watching. Most people around seemed very interested in it.
