If he is making X it is X too much. Nike is never gonna make their money back. How much much do you think Nike will make by a few thousand people watching him trip on a rail on Peacock?
Tell him to spend a night with me in Vegas and i can report back how much he's making based on how much he's willing to lose on a one night bendy. I have an exact formula for this and have it surgically narrowed down to a science, essentially. Dude's surely a top 1%er but the top 1%ers have a league of their own too. The real then question is: Where does he fit in there? Some of these cats have his salary on their wrist.
You guys need to back up these numbers you keep throwing around. We know for a fact that Boris Berian was offered a $405,000 contract over 3 years (135k per year) 10 years ago. Based on that, I would assume that Fisher would be making AT LEAST (probably much more) $120k per year as a base contract. Bonuses on top of that would probably put him near $500k. Remember, this is a guy who has lots of options (both in running and out of running), so I'm sure his base salary is enough to keep him highly motivated.
I would hope high b or low c . hopefully this great great season will be a nice bonus . I have no idea . honestly , I would say a before the season started
Are you joking? Guys like Waleed Suliman are making 100k out of college nowadays. Fisher is making multiples of that.
How can a T & F journalist be so out of touch with reality.
He’s no different than the majority of the others on the site. They make facts up in their head based on only a hint of knowledge, then over time begin to believe their own narrative, forgetting that they’ve made it up in the first place. The owners/journalists of this site essentially rely on tips and random message board posts to do their “research”. Despite the refusal to acknowledge, most elite athletes and agents read the site; but based on previous behaviour, very few legitimate high end athletes or agents are willing to talk openly to the representatives of the site.
He’s obviously becoming one of the greatest runners of our era but I’d say 99.9%. We have our bubble where we perceive our stars as more popular than they are. I walk around the Stanford campus regularly and I know for sure that he is not known outside the cross country team. People are purchasing Nike regardless of what he is wearing.
