Before today, I would have said it’s not insane to run at 4:20am around the UM campus. Sure there is random property crime, but this isn’t the place you’re worried about violence. That’s what makes this so scary. The intersection where she was abducted less than 400 meters from the track many Memphis runners use all the time.
