No. I just want to see them fail and blaming it on the stadium getting tore down is fun.

Men will not qualify for nationals. Bienenfeld is not that low of a stick (not a top ten guy, will be 15th-30th) and relying on 1500 guys in cross country ends in sorrow.
Was surprised at whoever mentioned Schumacher's kid (the one who went to Stanford, committed to Notre Dame as a grad transfer, then de-committed and is apparently at Oregon now?) as a potential contributor. He was 40th at Pac-12s last year and I don't recall him ever running another varsity race there. If Oregon is scoring a guy in the 30-40s at conference they're in trouble.

I believe she was committed to OSU. Did she decommit and commit to Oregon, or is she going sophomore year? Is there an penalty for decommitting to a school? Feels like I've seen a lot of it lately. And if there isn't any penalty for decommitting, what is the purpose of committing?

She is a rising senior. seniors cannot officially commit until they “sign” starting in November.
if you don’t sign you can verbally commit to anywhere you want and it don’t mean a hill of beans.
If they can get Evan to help with recruiting that would be a big deal as well. Having BTC runners in town and being ex-officio assistant coaches could be the difference maker for the Ducks. I also think that Nike could really help with NILs.
Can Shelby be an assistant coach in the NCAA? Is there a ban on people who are serving WADA suspensions?

I have always found the dislike from distance runners of Oregon fascinating. I love the fact there is a distance oriented men’s program that actually tries to win at track and field and a school invests in track and field and distance running. The NCAA is a copy cat league look at Alabama’s 2015 Football coaching staff and where they are now. If a distance oriented program can contend in xc and in track for the team title, I think other programs will follow suit creating more scholarship opportunities at elite programs for distance runners and in general raising the level of support for track and field. Balanced programs occasionally contend (see Texas indoors), hopefully more big budget programs will see this as a model but in general it is the speed power programs that battle for the team title on the mens side with the exception of Oregon.
It’s fun to root against Alabama, it’s fun to root against Tom Brady, it’s fun to root against Max Verstappen, and it’s fun to root against Oregon. Way more fun to see the David topple the Goliath. ESPECIALLY when the Goliath has a shady past…

Its not just him. When working on my meet schedule I emailed coaches in June and some took three emails to get one response and others I never heard from. I personally as a non fulltime coach responded to all emails and questionnaires within 24hrs but usually right away but that hasn’t been my experience with all coaches even fulltime ones.
