Interesting that the "sluggish" first kilometer helped set up so many seasonal/lifetime bests among the peloton.
Pete Julian actually advised her to not run the 5.000 after her 4th place in the 10.000. She wasn't feeling well after the 10 and on the day of the 5.000. Therefore she planned on running just for the fans and to have fun.
