Diljeet's program is like a cult. It's so scary how she uses her own self as some entity for her athletes to praise, look up and preach .. to fuel their run, obviously it doesnt work. her atheltes only win races when they are already 23 years old and the oldest in the track..

Great question! So why did she leave BYU? USU definitely isn't a step up athletically or academically.

I was forgetting that Whittni Orton also won the individual NCAA championship in 2021 as the team finished second.

There's the answer, "it wasn't the right fit". Didn't happen all at once but appeared to be over time she decided that it just didn't work for her. Anyway, I hope that it works out for her and she has a lot of success there.

I’d start with Ichiro, you can build a roster, plan and culture around that man. If you’re not thinking culture, you’re not thinking dynasty.

Ana’s sister is at USU and her Grandparent are in Logan, so one factor was she could be closer to family there. Although incredibly dedicated, Diljeet is a one-woman show and I think Ana felt she needed a little more support/attention through her struggles.

By the way, whoever mentioned “the Cult” of Diljeet is an asshat.

What is different about BYU tht makes you say they don't have support?

BYU women have 33 women on the cross country team.

NC State has like 16.

Diljeet can’t coddle and pamper every single runner on the team.

Taylor has been known to pick and choose the runners with the most potential and prefers to HEAVILY focus on coaching those runners to win championships.

Jenna Hutchins can post all she wants, lets check back in two years and see if she is still happy, healthy and feels she is with the best coach. Her personal success will dictate how she really feels about the program.

Could be but I rather doubt it. Didn't know that she had family in Logan, UT including her sister that attends the school.

Could be she was intimated by fast runners at BYU and fearful of not being a top 5 runner. Based on her 5K times from recent weeks she would be well outside the top 100 in the NCAA. Going to a less competitive program you may have better success of being more in the spotlight. Some runners want to be in the spotlight and love media attention. Hope it works out for her but you get better with team competition.

All valid points although I wouldn't think that she would be outside the top 100 this Fall.
