Feel like we've had some badly pace DLs that threaten this through 800-1200. Get some even pacing and probably something in the 1300-1400 meter range. 1500 @ 60s/400 pace doesn't seem too far off. Sub-3:50 is on the table now.
Monaco last year was pretty solid through 1200- 61.4/62.1/62.8. 45ish last 300. We'll see what Kipyegon can do this year. Problem is she'll most likely be alone when the pacers drop out. Chasing down Hassan was huge last year.
Last year, 2021, 52 women ran under 2:00 for 800m. The range was 1:55.04 to 1:59.99. I don't think any of those women could run another 200m in 30/35 seconds.

I would be willing to take The combo of faith, Muir, and reeike having one of them run 2:29 all the time. They all ran sub 2:32 and some were noticeably better in 2021 than 2020. And those are just the couple that ran 1000. Get the half dozen sub 1:58 gals and hav them run 1000s all season and I am confident that 3-4 of them would be 2:29 high.
agree with the previous posters about 2019 hassan and 2015 Dibaba being able to accomplish this for over 1000m. Dibaba especially, given her 3:50 1500 with the final 800 being solo. She also had the wheels to run 14:15 with a 61s close and an 8:16 indoor 3k that year. Closed the final 800 (off a slow pace of course) of worlds in 2015 in 1:56-1:57. Hassan has 1:56 800 chops, ran 3:59 the final 1500 of the 10k, and ran 3:51 in the final of the 1500 in 2019 increasing the pace every lap. If these two women were in their prime at the same time (they did overlap just not both at their peak for the most part), then they could push each other to close to 1200m sub 60s pace.
i would say 1005 meters. The world record is 2:28.98. Exact 4 minute mile pace would put you at 2:29.11 at the 1000 meter line so maybe 3 steps beyond the 1000 before she would be over 4 pace.
Dibaba covered 1100m of distance in 2:45.82, during her 1500m record, if you removed the second lap. So whatever the distance is, we can be confident it is at least 1100, probably a decent bit longer.

According to the scoring tables the equivalent 1000m time to the womens 1500m world record is 2:26.44, the equivalent time to the world record in the 800m is 2:26.73.
Given we know that women can run 800m in 56.72 per lap and 1500m in 61.35 per lap. I think its pretty hard to argue they can't run 59.65 per lap for more than 1005 meters.

You just can't ignore that 64s recovery lap🤣 But yeah have her, Hassan or faith in peak shape and have the day of days, I think 1200 is probably just out of reach.
