Look, they are all bad. Take one example of many -- none of the announcers realized that Josh Robertson had qualified for the 1500 final when he finished 7th in his heat. One of them talked briefly about how he kicked too late, and that was it. I was yelling at the TV. There are two heats, top 5 automatically qualify, then the next fastest 2. The first heat was slow. So the 7th place finisher in the 2nd heat will go through.
This is not difficult material. It is Announcing 101. But let's face it, nobody here expects any of NBC's track announcers -- not one of them -- to be capable of understanding that and communicating it to viewers.
So, I mean you can complain about this announcer or that, but none of them do their jobs properly.
