Just love (sarcasm to the max) twits like you that can't get FloJo out of your brain. She lives there, rent free, torturing you all the time, doesn't she?
I was actually at the IUPUI stadium in Indianapolis, sitting near the upper part of the stands some 20 meters beyond the finish line and watched FloJo set the world record. I can tell you without any equivocation that there is no way, no how, that the wind was anywhere near 5.0-7.0 mps, not even some 20 feet off the ground where I was at in the stands, where winds WOULD BE higher than on the field. I can believe 3-4mps; however, it has been noted that winds were varying from tailwinds to direct crosswinds. This would be winds from directly out of the north & swinging to from the west as Carroll Stadium is a West-to-East configuration. Been to that stadium many times and even competed there a few myself. You are so typical of internet t w a t s that HATE FloJo. I also had the great pleasure of meeting FloJo later that afternoon, stood next to the woman when she graciously signed autographs for many young kids, including autographing a t-shirt for my younger sister. I saw her body from 2 feet from mine, and I can tell tell everyone that she did not look "juiced-to-the-gills", nor did her voice indicate such.
Pi$ on you FloJo haters. Shame on you.
You aren't covering yourself with glory with your recent posts in this and other threads. You can ignore all the facts that you want. You are clearly seeing only what you want to see. The reason there is so much "hate" is because 10.49 in a zero wind is LUDACRIS. Not possible. And everyone without an ax to grind can see that it was a wind gauge error. Flo Jo ran some ridiculous fast times that one special year, but nothing in the ball park of 10.49 basic.
BTW, what does Flo Jo being a nice person have to do with any of this? Because she's nice she didn't use PEDS? Because she's nice the wind gauge couldn't possibly be wrong?
