I would not do it! Not a smart choice at all. I would look outside of the work place. My wife and I both work at the same place I am much higher in the organizational rank structure but we are in different areas and she started working at our agency after I had already established myself and we both decided she was a good fit. There was a time not long ago when many in upper management were making wives out of their secretaries and other subordinates. One could argue that it shows that you very much are leadership material if you can pull an employee.

Many people complain about how much they can’t stand their terrible bosses. Imagine liking your boss not only enough to say nice things about them and respect them, but to sleep with them too! If you have employees who want to know you in that sense, then you are doing a great job as a leader.

Most middle and upper class adults spend an enormous number of waking hours at work. It’s unreasonable to expect people not to date. It’s what men and women do. There shouldn’t be anything subversive or damnable about it. The sole exception is if someone obviously gets a raise or promotion due to sex. Other than that it’s no one’s business.
