Nearly everyone as poor as me is morbidly obese, wasting the little money that they have on food. Their belly being constantly full makes them fat, happy, complacent, non-competitive, and inevitably doomed to remain in poverty.
Humans are MEANT to starve when they have few resources and this starvation sends a signal to their brain to get aggressive, ugly, sharp, and competitive. The impoverished obese need to be taught this.

It is possible to be thin because you can’t afford enough calories, but not in the US for someone who can afford Internet access and write reasonably grammatical English (lacking in critical thinking or sensitivity as the writing may be).
Your post is insensitive to the fact that hunger and malnutritioned infant deaths because of extreme poverty is a real and depressing existential burden for many people in the world.
In the US, you are being insensitive in overestimating the amount of choice poor folks have in choosing food and lifestyle behaviors that keep them at a healthy weight while balancing their jobs and family. This problem is particular to the developed world and uniquely bad in the US because of the extent of industrialization of fast foods.

Eat more fruits and vegetables (you can go with the least expensive ones). Eat cheap canned sardines. Drink water. Don't eat donuts, smoke, or drink alcohol.
There. That didn't take too much thought and that isn't very expensive.
Never heard of fat person being described as a hard worker or go getter. Never hire one. They will skyrocket your insurance premiums, endless complaints, lawsuits for getting canned, etc.
However much money I have, I am always a healthy weight. This is because I eat a satiating, human-optimal diet, providing all nutrients in optimal balance, that can be scaled to fit a budget.

It’s very cheap to gain weight, I hope you realize this. Order a few items off of the dollar menu at McDonald’s and you’re looking at 1000-1200 calories for one meal.
That’s why poor people are fat, it has little to do with overspending on food or eating in excess. It’s much cheaper and easier after working a crap retail double shift, to stop at a drive thru on the way home than to grocery shop or cook a meal. Buying healthy food and preparing healthy meals takes more money, time and energy. These are exactly the things that poor people living paycheck to paycheck tend not to have.

The actions that lead to obesity are unhealthy and considered selfish by many. This is based in science and fact. People judge fat people because they are killing themselves and as a population consuming food that could be going to starving individuals that actually need it, all because they like food and have no self control.
Being gay is not harmful to yourself or others. If you judge someone for being gay you’re either religiously indoctrinated or not that bueno at thinking through things.
A more fair comparison to fat shaming would be:
