UT's men had their highest SEC finish since 2008.

I recall there was some question of her treatment of athletes she did not recruit back when she was hired. Anyone remember that?

I don’t get a kick out of criticizing people who are just trying to do their job, even if I don’t particularly like or agree with the way they do it.
But I have no problem saying that Beth Alford-Sullivan’s pulling the scholarships of kids at the University of Tennessee before they were allowed to compete wins the gold medal for bad coaching. She’s a disgrace.

She recruited kids to Penn State that could have scored in sprints in the Big 10 but had no chance in the SEC. So when they came with her (she didn’t ask them to) to Knoxville she cut them because she knew they had no chance to score in the SEC. They also had been extremely lazy in their opening practices on campus.

If this news proves true (still waiting on any official announcement from UT in the middle of a weekday) then something highly inappropriate must have come to light.

She is fired. It’s going around inside the program. I am an old old alumni and everybody within the program alumni network knows. I was indifferent towards her, I didn’t like her or dislike her. The rumor is 100% true.

It is true. It just has not come out yet. The alumni all know the she has been fired, even the 50 year old alumni like me. An announcement will be posted within the coming days.
