Seems to me that people have an aversion to accountability now a days. Get called out for cheating and all the sudden you’re the victim and the accuser is the bad guy. It’s a societal deficit that I fear is too ingrained now to be remedied.

To this day, I hold him accountable for pushing Frank Meza toward his death. Guilty of cheating or not guilty of cheating, spectators know the truth about Frank. But that doesnt mean we had to drive this guy to suicide.
Don't understand the bit about 'spectators know the truth', but the only person responsible for what Frank Meza did, for how he used that 'fame' to his own advantage, for drawing attention to himself and giving cause to an investigation, for not coming clean and for everything that caused him to take his own life, was Frank himself.
If anyone other than Frank should be held responsible, it’s the enabling RDs that didn’t DQ him, and allowed he gleefully sneaked around clocking unbelievable marathon time and even picking up age group world record. If Frank was stopped in his cheating earlier, he wouldn’t dig himself a hole that he must have deemed too deep to climb out.
Funny how the help dries up after Derek Murphy attacked LRC and then he went on a multi-year harrassment of a black woman in Laytoya Snell. Derek now says he has no time for Marathon Investigation but had tons of time for years for the 8 hour marathons of a black woman he had to admit didn't even cheat. It's karma, good riddance to him. From his Facebook:

like 90% of lets run posters, derek was a failure at running to wanted to bring down people that were faster than him. He had his moment in the sun years ago, I'm surprised he is still going.
