But clearly, they could care less about this girl.
Also, as I said, for a number of reasons things would have been even worse for her if she won. She was in a no-win situation before she started.
Her coaches failed her twice and need to answer for it. I have a feeling they will now.
Thanks for pointing that out. I was fast forwarding through the commercials and non-competition coverage tonight so probably just missed what they showed of her before her turn.
I did, though, hear the commentators say how harshly her coach(?) was speaking to her immediately after she came off the ice. I don't know if this is the Russian way or what but I would think that it wasn't the right time for constructive criticism.
And I think it was Tirico who said that the IOC President commented on the Russian handlers in his press conference.
It's sad all around.
