Filip fell over some camera equipment beside the track. I would not consider that as a “normal” fall. Anybody would get hurt in such a situation.

In the last year, I've heard of Molly Sediel, Bryce Hoppel and now this Japanese guy all hurting their ribs. What gives?
Is it low bone density, rough sex, coincidence or some combination?

*Sigh* take a look at this fall:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51AuwZA5McU. "Anybody would get hurt in such a situation." You serious?
I see super soft contact. I see a fall with short distance to the ground. I see barely spent any time on the ground.
I saw approximately 20 more serious falls in the olympic snowboard halfpipe last night and maybe only one athlete cracked a bone.
You gotta learn how to fall
Before you learn to fly
Why are people keeping the mechanism of injury such a big secret? What's the big deal? Are they just embarrassed?
Most often a runner would break ribs by tripping and falling. I'm assuming that's what happened to Molly Seidel, but I never heard anything other than a cursory reference to broken ribs.
Unless she got injured doing something stupid, like crashing on an electric scooter.
