He ran a 2:10 marathon less than a year ago. His performances are hit and miss but it’s by no means certain that he’s done.

He was tearing it up in the early 2010s (back when Canadian distance running was pretty terrible over all).
Bronze at the Commonwealth games 10000m, Canadian record in the marathon. Remember when he beat a prime Rupp in the 2 mile after doubling back from a 3:54 mile a few hours earlier? That was awesome.
Cam is definitely a legend.
I was at the Armory for that. One of the most electric atmospheres I've ever seen for a track meet. I didn't even know who he was at the time, I think a lot of young Americans didn't. But we all wanted to see this "random" take it to Rupp after his mile.

A lot of world-class runners are leaving HOKA. They've realized these shoes are costing them time on the roads.
They are? I agree about the shoes but who else has left Hoka?

No, I do not remember. This does not make him a legend.

Is it confirmed they're leaving Hoka entirely?

Too bad, your loss.

No, it is not confirmed. It is most likely that they are staying with Hoka and finding different coaching.

"Have ran" is grammatically incorrect. The present perfect tense is "have run". I'll die on this hill.

He's probably got dozens of photos of himself wearing all Hoka gear. Why thank them for helping resurrect his career by wearing mostly Nike gear? The company that dropped him like a rock shouldn't get any play unless he's going back to Nike. Most of the pros that leave a sponsor before signing with another sponsor use photos with their former sponsor or with generic gear. That's why this is odd.
This is the Canadian Olympic Marathon team in training camp. One guy has on Sauconys, Cam has his Hokas on, the other is a "lulu lemon ambassador". The are in Olympic team kit.
We can stop with the "he was dropped/left Hoka talk".
