End of the day, Matt appears to have been toxic in both groups. Confirmed by two separate training groups. Hopefully he gets banned from other US groups.

Toxic how? All we know for sure is that he dated someone and they broke up. Maybe HE broke up with HER and then SHE started to spread lies to get back at him??? Maybe!

Weird, I seem to remember some posts here a year or two ago about the Sweat Elite guys being disingenuous with their coverage in Africa or something. The thread was like “Warning Sweat Elite Scam” or something. I forget the main gist but it seemed like they were not talking to the coaches and then just like watching one workout and then writing up “Kipchoge’s Week of Training” - anyone remember this?
Then listen to Harvey Nelson’s podcast with them. It really seemed like he had to be convinced to come on the show by a friend, and really didn’t like the guys because they just showed up and started biking next to him one day with a videocamera. Wtf?
yeah there was a post a while back that pointed out some nasty reviews people had left for sweat elite on trust pilot or something. essentially the accusation was selling training plans that were misrepresented as THE training for kipchoge, etc. when in fact it was basically guess work.
i remember a few months ago when they started posting on youtube people were raving about it. "omg i love the stripped down footage with no music it's so authentic." fair enough, but also i stopped watching the videos because they got boring pretty fast. sorry but i ain't gonna watch a 2:12 guy do a 30 minute tempo.

I'll put out the unpopular opinion: I don't see much of any value in the content on his channel. He's got 50Kish subs so in a global sense there are a couple people who find it interesting. I used to be one of them, but then the videos just kept getting longer without adding to production value so I unsubscribed. It's undoubtedly interesting to see a Jake Riley or a Nell Rojas workout for a few minutes, however anything over 10 minutes is rather pointless. It's not exactly useful in the same vein as copying some random person's Strava training log isn't going to be useful or valuable. So it's just about entertainment and entertainment value will also erode when the channel features primarily no-names. If he kept a lid on being blacklisted by coaches and groups there would probably be no public knowledge of this. Add in the fact that he's getting backlash from his peers and it all points to the likelihood of this guy being a scummy scammer. Now that he's been outed, he's going to have a tough time turning it around. I don't know him at all and I've got no dog in this fight. I just have a view of someone who used to consume his channel's output and found good reason to move on. If I hadn't unsubscribed already, I certainly would do so at this point.

Flipside is also true, Matt Fox was childish to broadcast his biased account on his podcast like that. He fired the first shot in this by putting it out there that way. He made himself the story and trashed two good people who have been out there doing work for a long time that he could come along and leech content from. He may make it out to be that he's gaining exposure for the group and its members yet he's gaining far more value than he contributes in this scenario. Guarantee he's not paying the groups or coaches any licensing fees. He needs access yet didn't act like he valued it. He put his own pecker into the mix meaning next time he shows up to film that group maybe that woman feels uncomfortable to show up to training that day and her friends all know why. Don't blame the coaches for uniting and blackballing him one iota. He shat where he eats and his chickens have come home to roost. Don't feel bad for that guy AT ALL. If he was smart and professional (enough) he would have simply let it die quietly, learn his lesson and move on.

For the top review IDK why a Coach won't come out and say what is actually going on but will say something. very childish.. If he doesn't want to say who to allow the victim to be able to deal with it why say anything?
I have no idea who Sweat Elite was before this post so obviously I don't really care about any of them... still don't understand the passive aggression the Lee is showing.. If you are going to make public claims like this stand up and say what happened. Don't be the Chicago Black Hawks and say you are mad then don't say why. That didn't end well for them and more importantly for some highschool boys.
I don’t know the situation so certainly not defending him but many of those reviews are clearly written by the same person, right down to repeating the same spelling mistakes. If you’re spamming reviews it’s a good idea not to use the exact same syntax, phrasing, and misspellings for all of them.
That said, the guy sounds gross. And if he went on a podcast and exposed himself, probably a narcissist.
