I see what you did there.
Very clever.

Is their liberal science biology lab also analyzing Ghonorea cases and doing contact tracing?
Seems like the next echlon in safety.
The question nobody ever answers when they shut a school down: are any of the kids…you know…actually sick?
My hunch is…no.

I sincerely don’t understand the thought process of some of these blue states. Are they just going to keep shutting down every few months into perpetuity?
Before the vaccine I could at least understand the other side of the aisle. Now it’s like we are living on different planets.
100% agree. I live in Boston. It makes no sense. We have no goal, no plan, no endgame. I’m beginning to think that some people are really okay with just doing this COVID-life thing forever.
To me…it just makes no sense at all.
The plan was vaccination. That's why it appears, once again, that there is no plan.

Well played, sir/ma'am.
Omicron emerged in a place with low vaccination and high “natural immunity” from prior infection.
It’s plainly obviously that the unvaccinated are, as usual, to blame.

I don't "blame" them for creating a less dangerous variant, I thank them.

I know a few, albeit not many, mask-lovers who admit they're okay with pandemic restrictions forever. They are the consistent ones.
Anyone who supports this crap but still believes it is "temporary" and the "pandemic" will "end" is simply getting duped. (Not insulting you, we were all duped until some point.) Time for everyone to decide to move on or accept that they're on Team Pandemic Forever.

Omicron breaks through “natural immunity” with ease and you celebrate it. Interesting take!
Anyway anyone who passed 9th grade biology can connect the dots and understand that the unvaccinated gave us this variant.

The only people on team pandemic forever are those who think it’s ok for a large fraction of our population to remain unvaccinated and thus risk hospital capacity surges seasonally with every new variant.
Pandemic of the unvaccinated, as usual

Yeah of course I celebrate it. It mutated to become less dangerous. That's wonderful news, thank you unvaccinated Botswanans.
And it's their fault that 100% vaccinated Cornell University had to lock down.
Peak 2021 logic

My hunch is…no.
No. The kids aren’t sick.
The shut down was to prevent the spread to those who didn’t contract it yet from getting it.
They’re all about to go home for Christmas.
They don’t want thousands of kids bringing it home to their families.
And some need a negative test to travel.
If this outbreak happened at the beginning of the semester and they weren’t about to travel, they may not have shut down.
So, the good news is they aren’t putting a strain on the hospitals.

Do non-sick people ever put a strain on the hospitals?

Easy to do that when nobody is sick
Who?

They do if they carry and transmit a virus that makes many others sick.
Again, the idea was to contain the number of infected people to reduce transmission as they travel home for the holidays.
