and since when does sponsorship = your employer? Even as we know the way the running world operates, a sponsor is not technically your employer.

I like Hocker, but I do think it’s frustrating how often the conversation turns to how low his mileage was in high school, and how all his miles were “quality.”
Freak talents can get away with this in high school. But all the high school fanboys are going to be really bummed when they realize his low mileage was just keeping his talent under the radar instead of “allowing it to develop” like everyone seems to be preaching.
Hell, he can sit around and be really proud that he got 6th place off of a third of the lifetime work that the winner put in, but I’d much rather see someone at that level be a little pissed off that their coaches didn’t hold them to a higher level. No one gets a trophy for “best finish off the least training.”

If he’s at the Nike Campus in Beaverton, as he will be frequently, daily even he will get the vaccine.

yup. 30 to 40 miles per week of "quality" without volume sounds like what every american coach was doing in the 90s when we are absolutely horrible. it's just not going to work with less talented kids in cross country.
it's something that can work for in season 800/1500 training though

I don’t work there but I’d run there regularly.
What you’re describing is correct. Those Nike sponsored runners are there a lot. Hocker will be there a lot too and will get the vaccine, it’s possible he already has. Money talks.

I’m anti-mandate but as others have said the facilities are at/in the same buildings and location as the Beaverton corporate office. Don’t dig yourself any deeper. Go do the tour and you’ll grasp it.
