Very sad to hear. So young. A 9.93 runner, he was almost as fast as his father. My condolences to his family and friends!
So sorry to hear this. Very sad news.
Condolences to LeRoy and family.

Not kidding, I was wondering around the OTs what he was up to. Tragic regardless of cause.

Formal press release from UH Cougars, which includes a statement from his father, Leroy Burrell.
Met Cameron when he was a junior olympian. Coached a fierce rival of his, Cameron made sure that they became and stayed good friends. Spoke with him a few times over the years at meets and was always impressed by how upbeat he was, and how politely and respectfully he treated me and everyone else. Perhaps it was because of being around LeRoy and Carl Lewis his whole life, but Cameron always brought a touch of class to any competition he was in.
Our sport just lost one of the good guys.

This is really sad.
My thoughts and prayers to the Burrell family and everyone who knew Cameron.
Life is precious and we're reminded of it so much more when someone young dies.
