Good observation. This video does show the initial contact really well, but the others, including the one on p. 9 from the OG thread with the stadium announcer gives the best look at the cut. Jewett got clipped on his second stride in after cutting off Amos. Honest mistake, and this is a tough call by the committee, but this is why Amos is being allowed in.
Yes, this is what happened. Jewett cut in very gradually, so it's not obvious if you are only looking at the short clips of the incident, but when I finally got to watch the fully replay, it was obvious that he never totally cleared the front of Amos before moving in. I feel bad for Jewett, it was unintentional, but the officials made the right call.

You are 100% absolutely correct ....from the side angle you cannot see that. You can almsot see it about to happen, as he steps very close to Tuka's feet for a few strides before that.
I think we can depend on Amos to trip someone in the final. He will probably take out Rotich as the Kenyan passes him.
