This is a good thing fo her. She now gets time to properly deal with the death of her mother without having to resort to substances.

I know they have weed in japan but the language barrier and lack of connection would make it hard to acquire.she probably got the weed from a shop in Oregon its everywhere. It would be to much work to explore a city you don't know to find a dealer who may not speak your language only to risk testing positive again.

Yes this is the answer. She has time to really regroup and reflect on her recent experiences. Whether she will resort to substances or resist them is anybody’s guess though.
When will rojo create a petition to overturn this greatest of tragedies? How will we continue? Should lord Coe step in and “make it right”?

She is a druggie. Her career is over.

Stupid comments from righteous buffoons are rather irksome. You are obviously a real tool--nevertheless, you have a lot of company on letsrun, where idiocy abounds.
USATF totally p-ssing all over themselves with this. I was in favor of the DQ due to the positive test, meaning Sha’carri not running in the individual 100, as that was the rule in place at the time. However, since the rule is stupid and since the suspension is only 1 month, it is within USATF’s discretion to allow her to participate in the relay, and they should have put her on there SINCE SHE IS THE BEST US 100 METER RUNNER.

You think anyone who is not applauding drug use is self righteous? Stop being so emotional and please stop being such a judgmental moron.
That would violate their rules too. She didn't make the final in her event due to the DQ. Adding her to the relay pool is no different than allowing her to run the open 100. She would be taking the place of someone who did not use banned drugs. They may as well run Colleen Quigley on the anchor of the 4x1 to get more interest in the sport. She is as qualified to be in the pool as the Richardson.

Wrong, as LetsRun made clear it is within their rules to add her to the team without any bending or wiggling. 4 spots come from the Trials, 2 come from whatever the coaches pick.

I other words you have been owned in another debate with me and have switched handles. Cry me a river…
Please post the rule. Assuming you are correct, they have established precedence by only ever using people who made the final in the actual distance at the trials or someone who qualified in another event.
This is the least controversial decision.
Could she be trusted to be focused on continuing to train and prep to run at her best for just the relay?
What is her history/experience running the 4x100? Especially with people she does not know?
The US has a history of problems getting the stick around in the 4x100. Although she may run the fastest leg, leaving her out of the relay pool improves the opportunities for good exchanges ( more practice, less controversy).
Presuming the US team should get some type of medal, could she be trusted to not do something that could DQ the whole relay team? The hopes, dreams and potential careers of other runners on the US womens 4x100 team must also be considered.
Japan does not like controversy and her on the relay team would be controversial esp in Japan (although that probably did not factor much into the decision since the games are being forced upon the Japanese people against their wishes by the powers that be.)
She said we do not know what she has been or goes through. She implied she used a banned substance partly due to learning about the loss of her mother. We do not know her, but she could still be focused on grieving that loss. (although she did say she would like to run on the relay).
I wish her the best, hope she learns from this and uses it as positive motivation to come back strong in Diamond League races this year the 2022 Championships and beyond.

nothing like points for a debate have ever come out of your keyboard. you're just roadkill in the path. minor nuisance blabbing it all up. just a child yelling "oh yeah".

^This. They have open discretion for the final two spots in the relay pool for 4 x 100 and 4 x 400. USATF almost always goes with #5 and #6 in the 100 finals, but they haven’t always.
otherwise they would need to make her sign something. to agree to get tested before travel and before racing by the team itself. and give her some massive fine should she mess things up by eating more gummies or whatever. which might not be fair. since she might nearly never use. and there might have been a near paperwork tue option around it being a problem in the first place.... She can turn it into fuel and push on. too late to play hero this round. let someone else be the one who screws it up if it goes that way.
