As I run along the Charles River and dodge puddles all I can think about is how this is going to be a REALLY wet spring. At a minimum, most running paths will be enormous puddles/streams and I wouldn't be surprised if the entire esplanade gets submerged as the snow melts.
So.....people who live in downtown Boston or Cambridge, where do you run now and where do you think you will run once the typical runnings paths are submerged? Wet feet, treadmills or another plan?
And I'm asking about your daily work-day run, not what you want to do on the weekend when you have time to actually go somewhere better to run.
I can say that I've been doing a lot of treadmill runs this past month because running in snow or on ice causes my sensitive achilles tendon to flare up. If it's warm enough I don't mind getting thoroughly wet feet while running, but freezing puddles are something I prefer to avoid...
