I had mono a little over 6 months ago, and I haven't had any symptoms since. A girl I've been seeing is kind of freaked out now though since we've kissed several times, even though I told her it's very unlikely I'm contagious still. I want confirmation from any medically knowledged people here. How likely is it that I'm contagious? What are the chances I will infect her if we kiss several times a week for, say, a year (just theoretical)?
You will have the virus for the rest of your life, and you can't control whether someone else will get it from you. I got it from someone who had gotten it 8 months prior and had had no symptoms for a very long time. This is not uncommon.
