C'mon, UNM, is it that difficult to post results?

I got the results within about an hour of the finish. What is wrong with you? www.golobos.com
Good for you. They must have taken them down, as they weren't back up until yesterday evening. Or you're simply trolling and acting like the results were up all day when they weren't.
the new mexico recruits are solid, mike asay is one of them he finished pretty high! lots of really solid freshman american kids this year
Nicholas Kipruto ran 23:50 at altitude?!?!? holy crap is this guy on UNM's team? That's ridiculous
Way to go Maclean O'Donnell. Good to be healthy?
look out for new mexico this year..on both sides. solid recruits and great coaching staff. look forward to see what gets done with this group!!!
New Mexico's roster shows that there are 11 XC runners on the team (men and women) from England. On top of that, they have several other imports. Way to go Lobos...when you can't compete against Americans kids, just hire a team from Europe. I wonder what the New Mexico taxpayers think of this...giving out athletic scholarships to foreigners at the expense of young American kids.

so are you saying that europeans are better than americans? stop crying around and just run harder you little b^tch, with that mentality rednecks like you will never be able to compete against runners from other countries.
You don't get it do you? What I am saying is that these foreigners are "ringers" or "pros", call what you like. Nearly all these English imports are already in Grad School and are taking scholarships from 18 year old developing American runners.
I'd disagree man. These guys (and gals) are raising the bar for the local runners. We've got at least one northern NM kid in the mix there, Pat Ortiz, last year's best all around runner running red shirt, Kyle Pittman. The crew at NM State know they need to step it up to compete now against these guys. This is a good thing. There's long been a gap between the collegiate program here (and at state) and the teams of pros that train in the area as well as the local legends that left the state to run elsewhere. If it takes some mercenaries to bring cache to the program's rep and then begins to attract our top local talent, so be it. Nice work by Franklin and his coaches and a great hire by the AD.
I should add, 'taking away a scholarship' for a local kid sounds considerably more restrictive than it actually is. The NM state lottery funds provide full scholarships to all in-state prep graduates that maintain a college GPA over 2.5. Even if a kid doesn't meet those stringent criteria, tuition at both schools is a few thousand per semester, like less than $3K.
In any case, having the opportunity to run for a good program without leaving the state is likely a bigger draw for top area preps than being on athletic scholarship.
Sandia, a NM high schooler doesn't have to just compete against 309 million Americans for an athletic scholarship; he has to compete against 6 billion worldwide.
How many NM high schoolers have been offered an athletic scholarship to the University of Bristol?
Right, well a high school diploma and B's and C's in college studies will get you there too. I understand what you're saying about public university running programs in general, but it doesn't really apply at NM schools with our lottery scholarship system.
Also, because I'm a numbers guy, there probably aren't 309m college aged kids in the US, and the number of college aged kids in the US that excel at running is even less. Same for the 6billion figure.
You're an idiot, division I schools don't just hand out scholarships like nothing, you actually have to be good to get one, so these american kids will definitely get one if they are good enough..
So the only people they are "stealing scholarships from" are slow people like you who never deserved one anyway. Go cry about it slowass
So I can move to Albuquerque for my daughter's senior year of high school and she will get a tuition full paid college scolarship at the Univ of New Mexico provided she has a 2.5 GPA? If your answer is yes, you have just opened the floodgates. I hope that you have a lot of loser gamblers (not taxpayers) down there in New Mexico.
UNM had its best local New Mexican recruiting class that I can remember this year on the men's side. Perhaps the top local kids now see UNM as a viable option.
Oh I get it. The coach at the University of New Mexico would rather bring in a bunch of 24 year old Brits than 18 year old American kids because he can have a nationally rated XC team with the 24 year old pros, and he doesn't even have to develop them. Lazy and un-American and hypocritical describes the NM program.
Alright. You know, an internet search will do wonders to corroborate a claim like this. As for floodgates and whether NM has gamblers - those are actually pretty funny comments to someone that lives here. Gambling is the state sport...and we'll be sure to get ready for those floodgates. Been working on that for 400hundred yrs now.
