Walsh hired at W&M yesterday.
Which Steve Walsh?
from Providence. Came down to him, Hunt, Columbia asst and Oberlin guy. Wonder who Providence will hire? Columbia guy maybe to Penn? Hunt to Wake maybe?
Interesting choice..... I am quite surprised by this. Figured that they would have chosen somebody with closer connections to William and Mary.
No no no no, wrong Steve Walsh. Stony Brook Walsh to William and Mary!
WHICH STEVE WALSH WAS IT DAMNIT!

Didn't he just get married?
ya to megan fox i think
No,the guy from Kansas- he rocked!
Steve Walsh, PSU grad '01? Harry Groves used to coach there. If this is same Walsh, then perhaps Groves put in a good word. Can anyone confirm?
I doubt it was the one from Stony Brook, he is very young/inexperienced and lacks some credentials. Walsh from Providence did a terrific job with walk on guys while he was there, really added some depth to the team.
The former UM QB.
Wow!!

It's the same Steve Walsh from PSU - great guy, by the way. Harry Groves was the head coach at W&M ('58-'68 I think) prior to PSU ('68-'06). Good for Steve and for W&M.
damn... i used to run with (more like behind) the guy in high school. Even if he was a couple of years behind me, he kicked my arse on a regular basis - but a very good guy. Great to see a prepper making good!
Is this official?? Nothing is posted on the website yet.
I don't know anything about the guy but it looks like he's had success at Providence. I know the admin. at WM value the distance tradition so I expect they have hired another good coach. Anyone with inside info?
Yes it is official. Email went out to team and we are all very happy for him yet hate to lose him as a real important part of the running department at PC. Wish him the best and I know he will do well there. Now to see who we get to replace him at PC.
He's a heck of a good golfer too.

He went to Hendricken high school in Warwick Rhode Island, 4.17 high school miler. Helped train Molly Huddle and the other pros here in Providence.
