Every morning I wake up and feel terrible. Just like pure hell.
My head hurts and I am groggy as shit until I get some caffeine.
I am training very hard at the moment.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can wake up and feel semi decent.

How Much sleep are you getting?
I usually go to bed around 1 to 2 am and sleep until 11 am.
I am a grad student at the moment and have always been a 'night person'.
Your body is telling you what is wrong. No one on Let'srun is going to tell it better.Listen to your body.
What kind of grad student are you that you're getting that much sleep?
When I'm in heavier training, I often have a hard time getting going. Hearing the alarm clock is hell. But, once I get up and out the door for the run, I feel better. Do you feel better when you start running?
You may think you are a night person but that is because you have fooled yourself.Unfortunately your body is not so easily fooled.
Classic case of Circadian Rhythm Syndrome.
Go to bed early, get up early and you will be cured.
I felt the EXACT same way for a while. The changes I've made are NO caffeine in the morning or after 3pm and improving my overall diet (ie pack a lunch for work everyday). The difference is fantastic!
My training is going really well and I do feel good when I go run.
I just wake up every morning and feel like I got hit by a bus.
I luckily have classes in the late afternoon every day.
Most likely because you work like a slave all day, then go and train.
You are a slave Neo.

Guilt. Bring Jesus into your life.
It seems to me your life is too challenging. You need to mellow out. You better get things fixed now, because things get real tough in the real world.
I worked overseas for 2 years before entering grad school so I know about the real work world.
Just having some sleep trouble.
Whatever.
If you went camping with a bunch of guys ,started partying and the next morning woke up with vaseline all over your ass ; would you tell anyone ?
