Why would you need rabbits in a sprint race? Sprinters don't pace themselves, they just run as hard as they possibly can for whatever distance. I you really want to "pace" a sprinter to make him faster, dangle some fried chicken out in front of them.

They could use a rabbit on a rail like they do with the greyhounds. Maybe instead of a rabbit they could put a photo of Petra Nemcova or the like on the rail and say, "you catch it, you can have it"
